( it would be misleading to say that lalli, at any point, forgets how fundamentally different their lives have been. maybe it doesn't have them at odds anymore like it used to when they understood each other less, but a big part of that understanding has always been the inherent expectation for emil to make no sense based on lalli's understanding of the world.
and so, in a display of great personal growth, he fails to point out how naive it is to expect to keep anything good, no matter how hard they worked to get it. he also fails to point out how naive it is to think that 'fair' decides anything. he's pretty sure emil knows that one, anyway.
